North Caves & Fort St Pieter – Luikerweg 71
On foot:
The North Caves and Fort St Pieter are about 20 to 25 minutes' walk from the VVV office in the Dinghuis building (Kleine Straat 1, Maastricht). We recommend using a map, available in the VVV shop, or a GPS. GPS address: Luikerweg 71. The ticket office, starting point, and information point for the North Caves and Fort St Pieter are located on Sint Pietersberg Hill next to Chalet Bergrust.

By car:
The North Caves and Fort St Pieter can be easily reached by entering the following address in your GPS: Luikerweg 71. There is plenty of free parking. The ticket office, starting point, and information point for the North Caves and Fort St Pieter are located on Sint Pietersberg Hill next to Chalet Bergrust.

By public transport:
Take bus 7 in the direction of St Pieter and get out at the second stop on "Mergelweg, St Pietersberg". From here it is a five or ten minutes' walk to the caves. Follow the signs 'Grotten Noord'. The ticket office, starting point, and information point for the North Caves and Fort St Pieter are located on Sint Pietersberg Hill next to Chalet Bergrust.
 
Waldeck Casemates - Tongerseplein
On foot:
The Waldeck Casemates are about 15 to 20 minutes' walk from the VVV office in the Dinghuis building (Kleine Straat 1, Maastricht). We recommend using a map, available in the VVV shop, or a GPS. GPS address: Tongerseplein. Visitors walking from the city centre should follow the signs to Bastion Waldeck. The Waldeckpark is located at one side of the Tongerseplein roundabout. Walk around the fortification. The red door you see in this park is the entrance to the Waldeck Casemates.

By car:
GPS address: Prins Bisschopssingel. There is paid parking on Prins Bisschopssingel. There is no free parking. The Waldeckpark is located at one side of the large Tongerseplein roundabout Walk around the fortification. The red door you see in this park is the entrance to the Waldeck Casemates.
By public transport:
Take bus 7 in the direction of St Pieter and get out at the stop 'Waldeckpark'. Walk back towards the park. Walk around the fortification. The red door you see in this park is the entrance to the Waldeck Casemates.
 
Zonneberg Caves – Slavante 1
On foot:
The Zonneberg Caves are about 40 to 50 minutes' walk from the VVV office in the Dinghuis building (Kleine Straat 1, Maastricht). We recommend using a map, available in the VVV shop, or a GPS. GPS address: Slavante 1. The ticket office, starting point, and information point for the Zonneberg Caves are located at the country house Buitengoed Slavante.
Because of the distance from the city centre, we recommend taking the boat to the Zonneberg Caves. The boat departs at the City Center (Maaspromenade 58) and drops you off at the foot of Sint Pietersberg Hill. From here it is just five or ten minutes' walk. By car:
GPS address: Slavante 1. From Hoge Kanaaldijk, follow the signs marked 'Slavante/Grotten Zonneberg' up Sint Pietersberg Hill and towards Buitengoed Slavante. Here there is limited free parking. If the free car park is full, you can park on Lage Kanaaldijk. The ticket office, starting point, and information point for the Zonneberg Caves are located at the country house Buitengoed Slavante.

By public transport:
Unfortunately, the Zonneberg Caves are not easily accessibly by public transport. We recommend taking the boat to the Zonneberg Caves. The boat departs at the City Center (Maaspromenade 58) and drops you off at the foot of Sint Pietersberg Hill. From here it is just five or ten minutes' walk.
